KitchenSecrets ("we", "us") is operated by Eayana Technologies (OPC) Private Limited. This page explains what information is collected when you use kitchensecretsbydk.com, why it is collected, who it is shared with, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Information you give us
If you subscribe to our email updates we collect the email address you provide, and the date and source of that subscription. We use it to send recipes, cooking guides and occasional information about our products and services. Every email contains an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.
If you contact us, we keep that correspondence so we can reply to it and handle any follow-up.
Where we offer accounts or paid features, we collect the details needed to operate them — such as your name, email address and saved preferences. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not receive or store your full card details.
Information collected automatically
Like any website, our hosting provider records ordinary request information — IP address, timestamp, page requested, referring page, browser and device type — for security and to keep the service running.
We use analytics to understand which recipes are read, how people arrive, and what is not working. This is used in aggregate to improve the site. Depending on the tool in use, this may involve cookies or similar technologies.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies and local storage may be used to remember your preferences (such as metric or US measures), to keep your place and any running timers while you cook, to measure how the site is used, and to support advertising.
Cook mode stores your progress and settings in your browser's local storage on your own device. That data is not transmitted to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.
Advertising
This site is supported by advertising. Third-party advertising partners, including Google, may use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies to serve advertisements based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure their performance.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to our site and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising throughGoogle Ads Settings, and manage third-party cookies more broadly ataboutads.info/choices.
Where consent is required in your region, you will be asked before any advertising or analytics cookie that requires it is set.
Affiliate links
Some links to products or equipment may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you buy through them at no additional cost to you. This never changes what we recommend — we only point at things we would use ourselves.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the site — hosting, content delivery, email delivery, analytics, advertising and payment processing — and only to the extent needed to provide those services. Some of these providers operate outside India, so your information may be processed abroad. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Email subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Account details are kept while the account is open and for as long afterwards as we are required to keep records. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or withdraw a consent you previously gave. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 or the GDPR. Write toREPLACE_ME@kitchensecretsbydk.com and we will respond.
Children
This is a cooking site intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be made before the practice they describe begins, not after.
